.//BATTLE SYSTEMS Specialty: Zanjutsu [Core] -- Kido [Secondary] -- Hoho [Tertiary] Battle Style: There is no flash nor is there any tricks in Kiyo's battle style. The shinigami's main strength is within his sword, or shall we say hammer. Often times Kiyoshi will find ways to get as close to you as possible so that he can do as much damage as possible. Though if close range isn't an option then Kiyo's fall back is Kido. While he can use Kido very well, he just prefers the thrills of a close quarters fight. This is where Shunpo comes in. By using Shunpo mostly as a means to get close to an opponent, Kiyo can get his fill of CQC. Zanpakutō: Juuryoku Doroppu Weapons: N/A Kido List: Hado up to 50, Bakudo up to 40 .//BACKGROUND Kiyoshi Takahara, born to one of the noble families in Rukongai was the 2nd child out of three. Now in the Takahara family there is long standing tradition of the male's being more dominant than the females. This tradition is so strong that Kiyoshi's grandfather had gotten ridden of one of his daughters because he wanted a son. Where that daughter is no-one knows. Now being the boy out of two girls, Kiyoshi was opted to receive special treatment yet there was no resentment from either of his siblings. Each of these children possessed inert spiritual ability. The probability of them becoming Shinigami were high however the main focus for Kiyo and his sisters were learning how to become nobles. With Kiyoshi soon to become head of the household once he became old enough, he was often given harsher treatment when it came on to learning. This made Kiyo develop an analytic style of thinking. Things like math and science became nothing more than second nature. It wasn't long before Kiyoshi began reading history books and learning more about Soul Society as a whole and the people who protect it. After a few years, Yuriko the eldest of the three began her training as a Shinigami. Kiyoshi who looked up to his sister often questioned her about what she learned. He even went as far as reading her notes on the duties of a Shinigami and on the mechanics of Kido. As an added bonus, Yuriko taught Kiyoshi Zanjustu with wooden swords and Itsuko shunpo by giving her various time trials to do. Both parents approved of such teachings because they were very well aware that these children had great potential and it would bring such great honor the family name. About five years later, Kiyoshi became extremely proficient in using a sword and Itsuko became well rounded with herself. Yuriko went on to being assigned the 10th division and due to the her having to be in the human world a lot, connections to the family became minimal but the bond remained strong. Soon enough it was time for Kiyoshi to enter the academy himself along with his fraternal twin Itsuko. The Takahara twins were top scholars in the academy. Mostly because of the previous training and studying they had done before. Kiyoshi did take the opportunity to work on his Kido. Yuriko wasn't exactly allowed to teach them that so Kiyo severely lacked in that area. Of course he eventually excelled in that area but Zanjustu came to be his strong suit. After five years plus an extra year to train his Kido better, Kiyoshi was assigned to the 10th Division while Itsuko was assigned the 6th. The two did keep in close contact with each other and Kiyoshi realized that he'd be with Yuriko again. Now Kiyoshi's attainment of his Shikai isn't something he wants to remember but at the same time can't forget. It was a mission in the human world to exterminate a hollow with his sister who at the time was a Lieutenant. They got their job done but it was not a quick trip home at all. It was sudden and brutal, Yuriko attacked Kiyoshi but his guard was still up. It was an act of betrayal. See Yuriko was tired of this damn fighting and just wanted some peace of mind so she decided to defect and join the other side. Kiyoshi tried to stop her but she was just too strong from him going as far as stabbing him. This is where, Juuryoku awoken. Of course even with this new found power Kiyoshi couldn't exactly use it to it's full potential, something that Yuriko used to her advantage. In the end, Kiyoshi had only enough power to hold his own until his other squad-mates arrived. They gave chase but two were killed and she got away. Kiyoshi under the care of Hasewaga Sayomi was nursed back to health. Little did either of them know that they were actually related. Much to Sayomi's dismay, Kiyoshi flirted with her but it was all in good fun because she'd never be interested in the kid anyway. Plus Kiyoshi sees her as more of a mother figure than anything else. Many years after this incident, Kiyoshi has trained hard mastering his shikai. He gave his spirit the nickname Minami due to the fact that with the power of gravity, she'll be sending a lot of hollows south and down to hell. Kiyo himself acquired the name "Stasis" because with gravity, he'll leave in a stunned state. Currently a third seat in the 10th division, Kiyoshi works tirelessly in perfecting his Zanjutsu so that one day he could face his sister.
